The script on the flag is the 'Shahada,' the core creed of Islam. Because of the sacred text, the flag is characteristically never flown at half-mast, even to express mourning.

This flag is made with different designs on the obverse and reverse so the script reads correctly from either side. Although it has strong religious meaning, this emoji is also used recently when mentioning Saudi Arabia's economic development or future projects like 'Neom City.'
