On the Czech flag, the white and red represent the regions of Bohemia and Moravia respectively, while the blue triangle symbolised Slovakia. It was originally the flag of Czechoslovakia.

After the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, Czechia decided to keep using this flag. This led to a brief dispute between the two countries, but the flag is now fully established as the symbol of Czechia, adding an interesting chapter to its history.
